Lead Software Engineer Java

Provide technical guidance and direction to business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors to support development and operations.

Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, operational outcomes with measurable validation standards.

Lead decisions impacting product design, application functionality, and technical processes while contributing as a subject matter expert and advocate of firmwide SDLC frameworks and tools.

6+ years of software engineering experience with formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.

Proficient in Java coding including OOPS, Collections, Streams, Lambdas, Exception handling and strong knowledge of Spring Boot framework and REST API design.

Hands-on experience with AWS services including Step Functions, Lambda, S3, ECS/EKS, API Gateway and familiarity with AWS AI/ML and NLP services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, Comprehend, Textract.

Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools usage and strong understanding of responsible AI engineering workflows including security and resilience.

Experienced in system design, application development, testing, and support within agile environments with cloud migration focus using AWS services.

Capable of setting team expectations and coaching senior engineers on compliant AI-assisted development usage and managing secure, scalable coding practices.

Strong in applying AI/ML concepts including embeddings, NLP, vector search, and integration of these within complex software development life cycles.
