Design, build, and execute comprehensive test plans for data center switching platforms, including functional, interoperability, scale, and convergence testing of BGP-based underlays and EVPN-VXLAN overlays.
Replicate customer network architectures in lab environments, focusing on multi-stage IP Clos fabrics and AI/ML fabric use cases with RoCEv2 traffic and lossless Ethernet behavior.
Identify and document software defects, automate test workflows using Python or similar frameworks, and present findings in customer PoC reviews and technical deep-dives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or related field.
7 - 10 years of experience in network software/testing/engineering/TAC/escalation roles.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with IPCLOS fabric architecture, BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, IPv6, and at least one major data center NOS (e.g., Junos, NX-OS, EOS, SONiC).
Onsite work required at an HPE office; proficiency with traffic generation tools (Ixia/Keysight IxNetwork, Spirent) and scripting/automation (Python, pytest, Ansible).
Experienced with testing and validating AI/ML fabric use cases involving RoCEv2 traffic profiles and lossless Ethernet tuning (PFC/ECN/DCQCN).
Skilled in troubleshooting complex issues across control plane, data plane, and optics/physical layers with strong analytical and documentation capabilities.
Familiar with SONiC NOS and SAI architectures, Broadcom SDKs, telemetry (gNMI, OpenConfig), and network automation technologies in lab-based testbed environments.
