Trait Assessment India Lead

Drive delivery and alignment of the Pest and Pathogen Resistance trait pipeline and Quality traits across Vegetable markets in India with global and local projects.

Manage and supervise the India Trait Assessment team, ensuring assay execution, training, and delivery of high-quality trait data to support commercial and strategic decisions.

Manage operational resources and coordinate annual activities, capacity, budgeting, and capability building to meet project priorities and ensure sustained technology adoption.

Ph.D. required or Master’s degree with 5+ years experience in plant pathology, crop pest, and/or diseases.

At least 5 years’ experience in trait assessment science.

People management experience including directing collaborators or technical staff.

Expert knowledge in plant pathology, crop pests, diseases, and experience conducting pathology tests and assays.

Experienced leader able to align multi-stakeholder projects across global and local teams in agriculture trait assessment.

Strong scientific and operational expertise in pathology and trait data analytics supporting decision-making.

Ability to develop and maintain external expert networks and integrate cross-crop insights to enhance trait assessment platforms.
