Design and develop scalable backend services and RESTful APIs for the CPaaS platform supporting workflows like number provisioning, SIP trunking, authentication, and call logs.
Own system reliability including database models, caching, retry logic, observability, and asynchronous workflows using message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
Collaborate with the VoIP team and QA to expose APIs for call control and diagnostics, build automated tests, and maintain documentation and deployment playbooks.
5+ years of hands-on backend development experience in distributed systems.
Strong programming and debugging skills in Java.
Experience with REST APIs, microservice architecture, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and API rate limiting.
Familiarity with distributed systems patterns (retries, idempotency, circuit breakers), CI/CD, GitOps, containerization, and cloud deployment (AWS preferred).

Skilled at owning end-to-end backend system components including API design, reliability engineering, and asynchronous workflows.
Comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams (VoIP, QA) and maintaining high standards of test automation and system observability.
