Engineering manager for HP-UX team

Lead end-to-end software development execution for HP-UX on HPE server platforms, including Linux package porting, integration, and validation.

Manage a team of software engineers and external contractors, overseeing deliverables, quality standards, timelines, and fostering engineering talent development.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams and report project status, while identifying process improvements and cost reduction opportunities.

First level university degree or equivalent experience is required; advanced degree may be present.

Typically 5 or more years of related work experience, including 0-2 years in people management.

Technical experience required in operating systems (HP-UX, Linux), server platforms, x86 architecture, and enterprise systems.

Role is hybrid with about 2 days per week onsite at an HPE office.

Experienced engineering manager capable of balancing technical leadership with people management and project delivery.

Proven ability to lead development of OS-level software and porting projects within enterprise server environments.

Strong communicator adept at multi-stakeholder coordination including firmware, product management, and customer support teams.
