Engineering manager for HP-UX team

Lead end-to-end software development for HP-UX operating system on HPE server platforms, including Linux package porting, integration, and validation.

Manage a team of engineers (HPE employees and contractors), overseeing hiring, performance plans, coaching, and career development.

Drive project execution ensuring quality, performance, and timely delivery; communicate status and escalate issues to management and partners.

First level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree is optional.

Typically 5+ years of related work experience including 0-2 years of people management experience.

Experience with operating systems (HP-UX and Linux) and server platforms (x86 architecture, enterprise systems).

Work setup is Hybrid with requirement to work ~2 days/week from HPE office.

Experienced engineering manager capable of balancing technical leadership and people management under project delivery pressures.

Strong familiarity with enterprise operating systems development lifecycle and cross-functional collaboration (firmware, product management, support).

Effective communicator able to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders at various organizational levels.
