Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB) and message brokers/event-driven platforms (Kafka, EventBridge, SQS/SNS).
Familiarity with Docker, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), CI/CD pipelines with Buildkite, and authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT).
Experienced in building scalable backend systems with microservices and event-driven architectures.
Comfortable working in Agile environments collaborating across multiple technical teams including DevOps and QA.
Preferentially has background or exposure in financial services or regulated environments, with knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and observability tooling.
