Lead and manage land access coordination, negotiation, and agreements for UK infrastructure and energy projects from survey through post-consent and construction phases.
Ensure timely, cost-effective access by engaging landowners and drafting/executing agreements, maintaining accurate, auditable land referencing data integrated with GIS and project systems.
Mentor and deploy sub-team coordinators, contribute to UK Land Services growth, and support cross-selling within ERM consultancies.
7+ years of demonstrable experience in UK land access, land referencing, wayleaves, or right-of-way acquisition on linear infrastructure, energy, utilities, or major development projects.
Working knowledge of UK legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to land access including Electricity Act 1989, Planning Act 2008 (DCO), Compulsory Purchase, and voluntary wayleave regimes.
Experience delivering land referencing outputs to support DCO, TWAO, s.36, or planning applications including Book of Reference and Land Plans.
Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and stakeholders with commercial awareness; confident using GIS, land data platforms, and Microsoft 365.
Demonstrated ability to lead end-to-end landowner negotiations and stakeholder management across landowners, legal advisers, and client teams.
Experience supporting UK Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) or large renewables projects and familiarity with post-consent land activities such as construction access and reinstatement.
Prior team leadership or line management experience within consultancy, developer, or utility land teams, preferably with exposure to global/shared service delivery environments.
