Software Engineer (Golang / Python / Java / Kubernetes / Cloud / Microservices / Distributed)

Build, maintain, and enhance NetApp Instaclustr’s open-source application platform that provisions and reliably operates thousands of distributed application servers globally.

Take end-to-end ownership of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.

Lead complex technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems.

5+ years of commercial experience delivering software and implementing complex solutions.

Proficiency in Java, SQL, and at least one other modern programming language; openness to learning more.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field.

Strong communication skills and collaborative nature essential for working with multiple teams.

Experienced in distributed computing and scaling open-source technologies like Cassandra, Kafka, or PostgreSQL.

Comfortable working within mid-sized agile teams (3-8 engineers) and taking ownership of large development projects end-to-end.

Able to lead technical design efforts and mentor less experienced engineers in a 24x7 DevOps environment.
