Tier-1 brand, metro location, and mid-level experience increase candidate competition density.
Technical performance skills transfer well, but financial/regulatory and low-latency domain experience increases fit sensitivity.
Explicit 5+ years plus specific performance tooling, SRE and observability requirements make shortlisting highly strict.

Execute performance engineering including building and running automated performance tests for load, stress, soak, spike, and capacity scenarios under guidance of Principal Engineer.
Contribute to non-functional requirements (NFRs), service level objectives (SLOs), observability instrumentation, and embed performance gates into CI/CD pipelines.
Partner with architecture, SRE, and application teams to identify performance risks pre-production and build dashboards/alerts correlating test signals with production telemetry.
5+ years software engineering experience with at least 3 years in performance engineering for high-traffic distributed systems (web, APIs, microservices, event-driven).
Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot; working knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS).
Proficiency with load testing tools such as JMeter and BlazeMeter; scripting skills in Java, Python, or TypeScript for automation.
Experience with observability tools like Dynatrace or OpenTelemetry; familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions).
Experienced in high-traffic distributed system performance engineering with strong software engineering skills in Java/Spring Boot and Kubernetes.
Capable of cross-functional collaboration with architecture, SRE, and application teams to preemptively remediate performance risks.
Proficient in building automated tests, dashboards, and embedding performance controls into CI/CD; comfortable with statistical latency/throughput modeling and observability metrics analysis.
