Strong employer brand and metro location but highly specialized PHY/firmware skills reduce general applicant density.
Highly domain-specific wireless PHY and embedded firmware expertise limits cross-industry transferability.
Role requires specialized LTE/5G PHY firmware, real-time embedded C/C++, and signal-processing expertise, so filtering will be strict.

Develop and maintain Layer-1 (PHY) firmware specifically for 5G NR gNodeB focusing on uplink and downlink PHY channels.
Implement, optimize, and debug real-time carrier-grade NR PHY features including signal processing algorithms (channel estimation, HARQ, MIMO/beamforming) and FEC processing (Turbo, LDPC, Polar coding).
Integrate PHY software with MAC, RF, and hardware platforms ensuring high performance for latency and throughput in real-time wireless networks.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with minimum 2 years of relevant Systems Engineering or related work experience (or Master's with 1+ year, or PhD).
Strong experience in Layer-1 / PHY firmware development for LTE and/or 5G NR.
Solid understanding of 3GPP PHY specifications and real-time or embedded systems development.
Proficient in C/C++ programming and knowledge of OFDM/SC-FDMA, numerologies, HARQ, and link adaptation.
Experienced in developing low-level PHY firmware for cellular base stations, especially 5G NR or LTE gNodeB/eNodeB environments.
Capable of handling complex real-time signal processing algorithms and optimizing performance for carrier-grade telecommunication systems.
Familiarity with PHY-MAC interfaces (FAPI/nFAPI), massive MIMO, beamforming, and modern cellular PHY architectures (e.g., O-RAN) is an advantage.
