Staff Engineer, Kubernetes Platform & Networking

Provision, operate, and maintain a bare-metal Kubernetes platform across multiple metro locations, including node and cluster bring-up, upgrades, and fleet consistency via GitOps.

Own on-call rotation shifts, acting as first responder for control-plane, node, and cluster incidents; develop runbooks, dashboards, and participate in blameless postmortems to reduce toil and alert noise.

Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, network, and software teams to isolate and escalate issues across physical hardware, underlay network, and data plane software layers.

Hands-on Linux (Ubuntu) administration and provisioning experience including PXE/iPXE imaging and OS hardening.

Production Kubernetes cluster operations experience on bare metal (RKE2 or kubeadm), including etcd, node lifecycle, CNI configuration, and troubleshooting.

Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Ansible, Terraform, ArgoCD or Fleet for automated infrastructure changes.

Working knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, BGP, bonded NICs, SR-IOV) and hardware management (BMC/IPMI, SMART data).
