Develop, execute, and analyze performance, load, stress, and endurance tests for applications and systems to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Implement and maintain monitoring of application performance using APM and other tools, integrate test scripts within CI/CD pipelines, and provide actionable performance insights and reports to management.
Mentor junior engineers on performance best practices and design/document performance testing processes to ensure integration of performance requirements throughout development lifecycle.
Bachelor’s degree required; preference for Software Engineering or Computer Science degrees (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 8 years of experience in performance engineering or related roles.
Hands-on experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling) and monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic).
Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Java, Python, Shell), understanding of system architecture, networking, database tuning, and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
Experienced in end-to-end performance testing and monitoring within complex distributed systems including cloud environments.
Capable of collaborating across development, QA, and DevOps to embed performance best practices early in the software development lifecycle.
Demonstrates leadership through mentoring and process design for performance engineering best practices in enterprise settings.
