Own end-to-end lifecycle upgrades and platform workstreams for multi-region Kubernetes clusters including Kubernetes, node OS, service mesh, ingress, and add-ons.
Design and automate cluster provisioning and lifecycle management using GitOps, Helm charts, and related tools, setting technical direction for platform operations.
Act as a senior escalation point for incident diagnosis and remediation, mentor engineers, and manage platform documentation and runbooks.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
5+ years hands-on Kubernetes production experience, including 2+ years managing Kubernetes at scale across multiple clusters or regions (Rancher, Tanzu, OpenShift, EKS/AKS, etc.).
Strong proficiency with Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as ArgoCD, Istio, Vault, Prometheus, and scripting/automation skills in Bash, Python, or similar.
Experience leading complex cross-team technical projects and mentoring engineers; Must be able to work flexible hours across time zones.
Experienced in operating enterprise-class Kubernetes platforms with a focus on scalability, automation, and security.
Able to drive technical decisions independently and lead incident resolution in globally distributed environments.
Skilled in Kubernetes container networking, security, GitOps practices, and cloud or virtualization platform integrations (VMware, AWS, Azure, etc.).
