Own end-to-end feature design and delivery across Epic's web application including Angular front-end, PHP/Symfony and Go back-end services, and MySQL database.
Lead architecture decisions, data modeling, API design, and maintain high code quality through reviews and testing.
Mentor junior engineers, lead technical design discussions, and participate in production support activities including post-mortems and systemic fixes.
5+ years professional software engineering experience with autonomous ownership of complex, cross-team projects.
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Strong front-end skills in TypeScript/JavaScript with modern frameworks (Angular preferred), and strong back-end development skills in server-side languages (PHP and Go preferred).
Experience with relational databases, production API design (REST or gRPC), and Git-based workflows including CI/CD.
Experienced in full-stack development within complex web application environments and comfortable making technical trade-offs and architecture decisions.
Skilled in mentoring and leading engineering teams in technical discussions, design reviews, and code quality enforcement.
Familiarity with Epic’s tech stack (Angular, PHP/Symfony, Go, MySQL), cloud platforms (especially GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), observability tools, and compliance related to children’s privacy is a strong plus.
