Own end-to-end import/export control for hardware shipments including MOR processing, HS/ECCN classification, invoice and customs documentation accuracy, and customs hold resolution.
Lead a distributed team of ~5 trade compliance analysts and coordinators across multiple regions, managing workload, certifications, staffing, and escalation of complex customs issues.
Manage customs broker and freight forwarder performance, maintain compliance audit tracker, deliver monthly compliance reporting, and drive continuous improvement initiatives including duty and cost avoidance.
8-12+ years experience in international trade, customs compliance, or global logistics, including at least 3 years people management experience.
Expertise in global import/export regulations, HS classifications, ECCN codes, Incoterms, and Importer/Exporter of Record liabilities.
Proven track record managing compliance service levels and KPIs across multi-region teams spanning AMER, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM.
Mandatory certifications or formal training in dangerous-goods (IATA/IMDG) and proven authority over dangerous-goods transport regulations; SAP Trade/TM experience preferred but not strictly required.
Experienced leader capable of managing distributed, multi-geography teams with strong operational control of trade compliance functions.
Hands-on in customs escalation, broker/forwarder management, audit defense, and hazardous goods compliance in complex multinational contexts.
Demonstrated ability to enforce strict compliance governance, maintain high accuracy (≥99%) in classification/documentation, and deliver key performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
