Lead and participate in complex SQL Server database management activities including design, capacity planning, HA/DR solutions, and production support.
Consult and advise management and multiple application teams on strategic and high-impact database issues and improvements.
Develop and enforce database policies, lead incident management including root cause analysis, and drive process automation and operational efficiency.
Minimum 4+ years of Database Engineering experience (work experience, training, military experience, or education equivalent).

Experience with backup and recovery, disaster recovery planning, and successful database migrations ensuring minimal downtime and zero data loss.

Strong expertise in SQL Server infrastructure, performance tuning, security, and compliance, including encryption and auditing.
Experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., SCOM, Grafana) and backup/performance tools (Cohesity, Query Store, Extended Events).
Ability to lead production incident management, collaborate cross-functionally, and implement process improvements and automation in database operations.
