Manage and optimize Mastercard’s Commercial and New Payment Flow databases including backup, recovery, performance tuning, and high availability.
Lead initiatives and collaborate with other DBAs to guide database domain strategy and best practices across multiple database technologies, including Oracle and PostgreSQL.
Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues; mentor junior team members and communicate solutions effectively to business and technical teams.
Experience managing multiple database technologies including Oracle and PostgreSQL; NoSQL experience is an added advantage.
Proven skills in database configuration, patching, upgrading, security, backup/recovery, architecture, and administration.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience preferred.
Ability to be on-call after hours and weekends; strong English communication skills.
Experienced DBA with strong capability in both RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
Demonstrated leadership in implementing database domain strategies, automation, and scripting with minimal supervision.
Able to work effectively in a global environment, providing mentoring and collaborating cross-functionally on complex database environments.
