Senior Software Engineer - Java, Officer

Design, develop, test, and deploy complex enterprise investment management software solutions primarily in Java and related technologies.

Drive technical excellence and thought leadership in architectural design, code quality, and debugging for Charles River platform and associated microservices.

Collaborate with business and product teams, lead cross-team coordination, and support Agile processes to deliver high-quality software products in financial services domain.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related technical field; MS degree strongly preferred.

Minimum 9 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in financial services (Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR, or Wealth Management) is strongly desired.

Strong experience in enterprise application architecture, Spring Boot microservices, cloud-native development (Azure preferred), and Agile methodologies (3+ years).

Proficiency with object-oriented programming, Java, SQL (Postgres preferred), Kafka or message-based systems; experience with Kubernetes and Snowflake is a strong asset.

Experienced in delivering large-scale, production-ready software platforms with a focus on financial services investment management solutions.

Technical leader capable of guiding architecture decisions, resolving complex software issues, and driving cross-team collaboration in Agile environment.

Demonstrates strong problem-solving with multi-tiered database applications and microservices architectures, alongside clear communication and documentation skills.
