Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and suites for the Disney Media Player across multiple device platforms including web, mobile, connected TV, and gaming consoles.
Collaborate with software engineers to design testing strategies enhancing defect detection and prevention, including participation in design discussions and triage of issues.
Drive the conversion of manual test cases to automated tests and contribute to end-to-end acceptance testing to ensure product quality and reliability.
At least 4 years of hands-on software test development experience covering functional and non-functional testing.
Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js, Python, or other modern object-oriented programming languages.
Experience with test automation on multiple device platforms such as smart TVs, set-top boxes, mobile, web, or gaming consoles, or strong willingness to develop this expertise.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree/work experience.
Experienced in developing or improving test automation frameworks with strong CI/CD pipeline integration, preferably using Jenkins, Spinnaker, or similar tools.
Familiar with streaming media concepts like playback quality, adaptive bitrate (ABR), DRM, and codec behavior, or highly motivated to master these areas.
Able to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively in a complex engineering environment dealing with cutting-edge streaming media technology.
