Support development of credit risk management and business intelligence analytic solutions through consulting and research for TransUnion’s clients.
Develop predictive risk management and business intelligence products for clients such as credit card issuers, auto and mortgage lenders, collections agencies, and retail banks.
Design and write data extraction, segmentation, and statistical analysis programs using languages like R, Python, SQL, Hive, and Spark on server and cloud platforms; present analytic insights to internal and external customers including executives.
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative field.
Proficiency in R and programming/data manipulation languages such as SQL, Hive, Pig, Python, C/C++, Java; familiarity with Microsoft Office required.
Work Experience Required: Minimum 6+ months of professional or internship analytic experience in Financial Services or related industries preferred but not strictly mandatory.
Ability to travel 10-20%; position requires hybrid work with at least two days/week onsite at a TransUnion office.
Experienced in credit risk analytics with familiarity of credit bureau data and business practices preferred.
Comfortable operating with modest supervision within a complex, dynamic, matrixed, and global environment.
Skilled in using modern big data frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, and cloud computing platforms; ability to translate analytic insights into actionable recommendations and drive client adoption of analytic products.
