Manage and support Microsoft SQL Server and AWS RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL databases including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
Ensure database performance, availability, security, backup, recovery, Disaster Recovery (DR), and High Availability (HA) solutions are optimized and reliable.
Automate operational tasks, handle production incidents including RCA preparation, maintain technical documentation, and manage database security and compliance.
2-4 years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator or similar role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 and AWS RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL including backup/recovery, performance tuning, patching, upgrades, migrations, HA/DR (Always On AG, Multi-AZ, Read Replicas).
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
In-office work required at least 3 days per week; specific timings from 4:45 PM to 1:15 AM IST.
Experience with managing databases in hybrid cloud environments including AWS RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL and strong hands-on T-SQL and query optimization skills.
Proven ability to handle high priority incidents (P1/P2), perform troubleshooting and problem management in fast-paced environments.
Familiarity or experience with automation tools such as PowerShell scripting, Terraform, and knowledge of monitoring platforms (CloudWatch, Performance Insights).
