Lead the Functional Safety team by providing technical guidance on ISO26262 Parts 4, 5, and 6 focusing on systems level safety for power electronics sub-systems like Transmission, Inverter, and DC-DC converters.
Develop Functional Safety Requirements including Technical Safety Concept, Hardware and Software Safety Requirements, and Level 2 Function Monitoring layer per EGAS standards for electrification product lines.
Manage system design and product mechanization for power electronics controllers including requirements derivation, change management (in Polarion), functional test plan generation, and testing on test benches and dynamometers.
10 to 12 years of overall experience, with at least 6 years in Functional Safety including development of safety requirements (TSC, FSR, TSR, HSR, SSR).
B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech degree in Power Electronics, Electronics, Communication or Electrical engineering.
Experience with ISO26262 functional safety standard, including external audit and gap analysis.
Experience in vehicle and dynamometer testing and hands-on experience with power electronics controllers for battery management, inverter, motor control and DC-DC conversion.
Proven leadership in Functional Safety teams with expertise in developing and guiding complex ISO26262 compliant safety activities for power electronics systems.
Strong technical skills in system architecture of ECUs, electronics circuits, and real-time embedded system design related to microcontrollers and ASICs.
Experienced interfacing with global experts and customers, capable of managing requirements and change, with exposure to cybersecurity as a plus.
