Software QA Engineer : Network Testing L2/L3, Automation | AI-Assisted Validation | 6-9 Years

Define and implement test strategies ensuring comprehensive validation of enterprise networking products including Layer 2/3, routing, switching, security, SD-WAN, and cloud networking features.

Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python and modern tools, integrating AI-assisted development aids to enhance productivity and test coverage.

Own CI/CD testing pipelines, conduct root-cause analysis using protocol-level debugging and packet analysis, and mentor junior engineers in quality engineering practices.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or related field.

8+ years of experience in Software QA, Network Testing, or System Validation.

Strong hands-on knowledge of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, IPv6, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, NAT, Firewall, VPNs) and experience with test automation using Python and frameworks like PyTest or Robot Framework.

Experience with Linux fundamentals, shell scripting, REST APIs, virtualization technologies (KVM, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes), and protocol debugging tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).

Experienced in leading complex network product validation with end-to-end responsibility for test strategy and automation development in enterprise or cloud networking environments.

Strong technical proficiency in Layer 2/3 protocols and automation frameworks combined with practical skills in debugging network issues and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.

Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally with development, product, and operations teams to translate requirements into effective test solutions and drive release readiness.
