Own daily operations and incident management for business-critical database applications, focusing on AWS RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Aurora PostgreSQL, ensuring high availability and SLA adherence.
Manage and automate database infrastructure tasks including provisioning, patching, backups, disaster recovery using Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database performance, perform root cause analysis, implement improvements, and support cloud modernization initiatives.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent.
4-7 years of experience managing relational databases and cloud infrastructure with hands-on experience in AWS RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Aurora).
Strong skills with Terraform, Ansible, Linux administration, shell scripting, and understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, backup/recovery.
In-office presence required minimum 3 days per week; working hours: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM India time.
Experienced hands-on operator in enterprise-scale AWS database environments with strong incident management and automation skills.
Able to collaborate with global, cross-functional teams including DevOps, security, and application stakeholders within a DevSecOps model.
Comfortable working in structured ITIL-based operational settings with expertise in performance tuning, root cause analysis, and cloud modernization projects.
