Lead socio-economic workstreams delivering baselines, impact assessments, and social value analysis for major infrastructure, energy, mining, and transition projects.
Manage small project teams (1-2 people) coordinating inputs across Consulting Delivery Hub and regional consultants to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to quality.
Act as primary client contact on socio-economic analyses, presenting findings and responding to regulator and client queries to support consents, social license, and lender/regulator requirements.
Bachelor's degree in economics, human geography, sociology, planning, public policy, development studies, or closely related social science; master's preferred.
2–3 years relevant experience in consulting, research, or policy delivering socio-economic analysis, impact assessments, or economic appraisal outputs.
Proven experience drafting socio-economic baseline and impact assessment chapters for EIA/ESIA or comparable economic appraisal/business case outputs.
Working knowledge of UK/Irish EIA and consenting regimes (e.g. DCO, Section 36, TCPA, Planning (Wales) Act) and/or international frameworks (IFC Performance Standards, Equator Principles).
Experience delivering socio-economic chapters for major infrastructure consenting regimes (e.g. NSIPs, DCOs) or ESIA socio-economics aligned with IFC PS / Equator Principles.
Skilled in quantitative and qualitative socio-economic research using UK datasets (ONS, Nomis, BRES, ASHE, IMD) and applying HM Treasury Green Book principles.
Capable of independently managing discrete socio-economic workstreams including scoping, planning, budgeting, quality review, client liaison and coordinating multi-regional teams.
