Own end-to-end procurement of reefer containers including new purchases, leased units, and refurbished stock from international manufacturers and leasing companies.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, lease rates, payment terms, and SLAs with global vendors and manage vendor relationships including rating on price, quality, lead time, and reliability.
Manage full import cycle including documentation (BL, BOE, LC, etc.), port clearances, shipment tracking, and coordination with CHAs, freight forwarders, and port authorities to ensure timely container delivery.
Bachelor's degree (Graduate / B.E. / B.Tech) or MBA in Supply Chain, International Business, or equivalent.
5–10 years of experience in container procurement, international sourcing, or shipping; must have sourced containers internationally with knowledge of Chinese (CIMC, Singamas), Korean, or European manufacturers.
Experience handling import documentation (Bill of Lading, Bill of Entry, Letter of Credit), DGFT/IEC compliance, and CHA coordination.
Location requirement: Mumbai, Goregaon (E); willingness to travel to ports and vendor sites as required.
Strong negotiation skills with international suppliers across time zones and detailed understanding of SOC and COC leasing models.
Operationally focused with hands-on expertise in end-to-end import logistics and documentation management related to container procurement.
Experience working closely with operations and supply chain management teams, acting as a single point of accountability for container procurement activities.
