8+ years of database engineering/administration experience with ownership of platform-level database strategy and reliability.
Deep expertise in performance tuning, high availability/disaster recovery, backup/restore procedures, and database security.
Strong experience with Azure and AWS managed and self-managed database deployments, including migrations and version lifecycle management.
Proficient scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for DBA workflow automation.
Experienced in managing mission-critical database systems across cloud (Azure preferred) and on-premises with multi-team coordination.
Skilled in implementing reliability engineering principles (SLIs/SLOs) and observability tools like Datadog, Grafana, ELK, or Prometheus for database systems.
Hands-on with Infrastructure as Code, containerized environments (Kubernetes, Docker), and CI/CD pipeline integration for database schema changes.
