Responsible for accurate classification of products, raw materials, documents, and project technology per global Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and Export Control Number (ECN) regulations.
Maintain and update master databases with classification data and rationale to ensure compliance and support import/export coding.
Drive process improvements within Global Classification Team and maintain documentation for trade compliance across multiple global systems.
6-10 years experience in Customs HTS and ECCN classification.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Communication).
On-site role based in Bangalore.
Familiarity with international customs classification, preferably with additional qualifications in International Trade and Customs classification processes; Customs Classifier’s certification preferred.
Experienced in cross-functional collaboration with Global Sales, Sourcing, Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing in a global trade compliance context.
Ability to interpret engineering BOMs, drawings, and use ERP, PLM, PDM, and Global Trade Management systems (e.g., E2Open, SAP).
Exposure to Life Sciences domain or international export control regulations (ITAR, US Export control) is advantageous.
