Manage accurate financial reporting of balance sheet and income statement for M&G Insurance entities under UK GAAP, IFRS, and local regulations (Solvency II).
Lead quarterly general ledger close and reconciliations, ensuring completeness and compliance, including Solvency II and regulatory reporting.
Support finance change projects, audits, and act as a liaison between finance teams and senior management, providing guidance and issue resolution.
Work Experience Required: Prior experience in insurance accounting, specifically life insurance accounting.
Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards mandatory; regulatory Solvency II knowledge advantageous.
Proficiency in Excel and experience with general ledger and consolidation tools required.
Experience with Life Insurance financial reporting and compliance; IFRS 17 experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
Experienced with complex insurance product accounting including unit-linked and with-profits products.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
Capable of managing multiple stakeholder expectations across finance, actuarial, audit, and technology teams within a regulated insurance environment.
