Author and update global Safety Data Sheets (SDS) ensuring compliance with chemical hazard communication standards such as GHS, CLP, OSHA HazCom, and WHMIS.
Classify chemical substances and mixtures for physical, health, and environmental hazards according to international regulations and support accurate labeling.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to collect chemical data, resolve classification issues, and provide regulatory compliance recommendations including safer chemical alternatives.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry.
2-5 years of relevant experience in hazard communication, SDS authoring, or chemical regulatory compliance.
Basic knowledge of SDS, GHS, and chemical safety regulations.
Work location: Bengaluru, India; No visa sponsorship; Work hours aligned to global business requirements (Monday to Friday, either 8am-5pm or 1:30pm-10:30pm).
Experienced in interpreting and applying global chemical hazard communication regulations including GHS, OSHA HazCom, CLP, and WHMIS.
Strong analytical skills for interpreting toxicological and regulatory data to author accurate SDS documentation.
Capable of cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliance and influence chemical safety practices within a global energy company setting.
