Manage shadow books and records for open-end funds and separately managed accounts, ensuring compliance with governing documents.
Oversee daily NAV, cash, and position reconciliations; review junior team members’ work including management fees, journal entries, and financial statements.
Coordinate with auditors, custodians, and administrators; support compliance, reporting, internal audits, and process improvements including automation projects.
12-15 years relevant accounting or audit experience in Big Four public accounting or a mix with investment management industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
Strong knowledge of reconciliation, accounting rules for investment companies, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Geneva accounting systems or data analytics tools (PowerBI, Alteryx) is a plus.
Experienced in managing and reviewing complex accounting processes for open-end funds and separately managed accounts with strong oversight capabilities.
Skilled in coordinating cross-functional teams including auditors and administrators, and driving financial reporting controls and audits.
Familiar with investment management accounting systems and automation/efficiency initiatives, comfortable supporting junior staff development.
