Director, Engineering, Personalization & Recommendations

Lead and scale multiple engineering teams developing personalization and recommendation platforms powering content discovery across digital products including Web, Mobile, and Connected TV.

Define and execute engineering strategy, architecture, and technology roadmap to deliver scalable, resilient, and low-latency recommendation services impacting millions of users worldwide.

Drive organizational growth, best engineering practices, and cross-functional collaboration with Product, Data Science, Machine Learning, and Platform teams to deliver strategic, business-critical initiatives.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.

12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading multiple engineering teams or organizations.

Proven experience building scalable backend platforms and distributed systems serving millions of users, especially in personalization, recommendation, or content discovery domains.

Experience working with Machine Learning teams to productionize models and designing/operating highly scalable services on AWS or similar cloud platforms.

Experienced leader with demonstrated ability to manage and grow engineering managers and senior technical leaders in AI or ML-driven platforms.

Strong technical background in distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native development within consumer-facing digital media environments.

Strategic operator with strong business acumen capable of aligning engineering roadmaps to product strategy and measurable customer outcomes.
