Own and manage the entire Software Configuration Management (SCM) environment including application, OS, and server hardware components in a large-scale GitLab deployment.
Design and develop automation tools and solutions to improve reliability, performance, and productivity across hundreds of globally distributed systems.
Lead or contribute to GitLab upgrades, migrations, architectural reviews, root cause analyses, and ongoing enhancements to support globally distributed engineering teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred or equivalent experience.
At least 3+ years of experience working with large-scale SCM environments, specifically GitLab; experience with Perforce, Subversion, or ClearCase is a plus.
Strong scripting skills in interpreted object-oriented languages such as Python or Perl; solid software engineering skills including design patterns.
Experience with Linux system administration (Rocky Linux 8, CentOS/RHEL, Ubuntu preferred), automation tools like Ansible or Puppet, and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
Experienced in managing large, multi-site GitLab or similar SCM systems with a focus on automation and scalability.
Skilled in software engineering and system administration with proven ability to develop and deploy CI/CD systems.
Capable of working in dynamic, evolving global environments and leading complex infrastructure upgrades and optimizations.
