Own and operate the full Software Configuration Management (SCM) environment including application, OS, and hardware components across a large, global GitLab deployment.
Design and develop automation tools and processes to improve productivity, reliability, and performance for SCM systems supporting tens of thousands of engineers worldwide.
Lead or contribute to SCM upgrades, migrations, architectural reviews, root cause analysis, and systemic fixes to support continuous improvement of the SCM infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred.
3+ years of experience in SCM with deep understanding of large-scale, multi-site GitLab environments; experience with other SCM tools (Perforce, Subversion, ClearCase) is a plus.
Strong scripting and object-oriented programming skills (Python, Perl preferred); experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
Experience with DevOps or system administration on Linux systems (Rocky Linux, CentOS/RHEL, Ubuntu preferred) and automation tools (Ansible or Puppet).
Experienced architect or engineer capable of scaling and operating large-scale GitLab-based SCM environments globally.
Strong software engineering discipline with proficiency in automation, continuous integration/deployment systems, and system administration.
Able to innovate and solve complex problems in dynamic, evolving environments while collaborating with global teams.
