Tier-1 brand and metro location increase applicants, but niche accelerator and senior skillset reduce competition.
Highly domain-specific accelerator, DSP, and SDK expertise limits transferability across industries.
Explicit 8+ years plus specialized accelerator, SDK, DSP and compiler experience makes filters strict.

Develop, optimize, and provide technical leadership for high-performance computer vision and signal processing algorithms running on PVA’s VLIW/SIMD hardware.
Collaborate with customers to assist in mapping and optimizing complex algorithms and establish technical direction and feature sets for the PVA SDK.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of experience developing high-performance software, specifically in computer vision, image processing, or radar/lidar signal processing on DSPs, GPUs, and/or CPUs.
Strong C++ software development skills including low-level debugging and performance profiling, with experience in Linux-based or QNX environments.
Deep familiarity with SDKs for heterogeneous accelerators, including components like compilers, debuggers, profilers, runtime APIs, and ability to write clear technical documentation.
Experience designing and shipping programming models for programmable hardware accelerators, especially SIMD/VLIW processors.
Background in compiler, debugger, linker or toolchain development, preferably with LLVM.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 quality/safety standards and proficiency using AI tools (LLMs, agentic workflows) to enhance development in safety-critical or performance-critical environments.
