Senior, niche embedded firmware verification role requiring FPGA/hardware bring-up reduces applicant density.
Highly domain-specific embedded firmware verification and hardware bring-up skills limit cross-industry transferability.
Mandatory 10+ years, technical lead experience, and specialized embedded firmware and hardware bring-up skills enforce strict filters.

Lead a small engineering team (3-6 engineers) responsible for firmware/embedded software verification for SoC devices including planning, prioritization, and milestone delivery.
Design and implement comprehensive test plans, frameworks, and CI/CD automated regression environments spanning pre-silicon (FPGA-based) and post-silicon testing phases.
Coordinate verification activities and communication across distributed global teams (India/Canada), and mentor engineers on test design and debugging practices.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
10+ years of experience in Software/Firmware Verification with proven technical leadership of small teams (3-6 engineers).
Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming, and experience using AI tools like Claude Code or GitHub CoPilot in software test development.
Ability to work effectively with globally distributed teams across different time zones; hands-on lab experience debugging hardware/firmware; experience with embedded ARM, RISC-V or MIPS and Linux/RTOS is a plus.
Experienced lead engineer capable of technical direction and ownership of end-to-end verification deliverables in firmware on SoC products.
Comfortable working in complex embedded systems involving pre/post silicon testing, requiring lab-based debugging and coordination across multiple locations.
Strong at translating functional specs into test strategies, mentoring peers, and improving team verification methodologies, especially in communications protocol contexts.
