Develop and deliver HAL and peripheral device drivers (I2C, SPI, UART, USB etc.) for MCX, Crossover RT, and i.MX devices in bare metal, ROM, and RTOS environments.
Verify ROM and other software deliverables on pre-silicon test platforms (RTL, Emulation) to ensure close to 100% test coverage and code security.
Collaborate globally with cross-functional teams to analyze and resolve system issues and maintain repository code quality including triaging issues and reviewing pull requests.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with an embedded software focus, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7 years of related work experience in embedded software/firmware development.
Proficient in C/C++ programming; familiarity with ARM Assembly and/or RUST/Python is a plus.
Experience with embedded device drivers development, ARM and RISC-V architectures, and tools like GCC, GNU make, IAR, Keil, DS-5, and Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bitbucket).
Experienced embedded firmware engineer skilled in low-level ROM code development, debugging in pre-silicon environments, and security hardening of critical code sections.
Comfortable working in a cross-functional, global environment interfacing with SOC design, verification, marketing, and system architecture teams.
Capable of managing the full software lifecycle from development to code review and merging, with a strong focus on product quality and compliance to security and safety standards.
