Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain desktop and cloud-based subsurface software applications and Petrel plugins using modern software stacks.
Collaborate with geoscientists and engineers to translate subsurface workflows into software reducing uncertainty and cycle times, including building APIs and data pipelines for seismic interpretation, modeling, and reservoir characterization.
Integrate AI/ML models into earth modeling workflows; ensure software quality through unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments; and provide technical mentorship within Agile environments.
Bachelor’s degree in geology, geophysics, computer science, or engineering (Master’s preferred).
At least 7 years of professional software development experience, preferably in oil and gas with subsurface geology and geophysics domain knowledge.
Proficiency in C++, C#, Python, .Net Framework, Azure services, DevOps, and Petrel Plugin development using Ocean SDK.
Experience with multithreading, AI/ML, HPC, Docker, Kubernetes, software architecture, authentication protocols including OAuth.
Experienced software engineer with deep knowledge of subsurface geology/geophysics domain and Petrel plugin development.
Capable of designing integration solutions across desktop and cloud environments, leveraging modern tools and deployment pipelines (CI/CD, Azure).
Strong collaborator able to work cross-functionally with geoscientists, engineers, and multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to Agile processes and mentoring others.
