Core Python Lead - Vice President - Software Engineering

Own end-to-end technical direction for a data ingestion platform supporting ETL and streaming with accountability for scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Design and deliver complex software solutions applying object-oriented design principles and pragmatic architecture patterns.

Lead and mentor a small engineering team including coaching, code reviews, technical guidance, and ensuring delivery accountability; drive engineering best practices and CI/CD strategies.

8+ years of relevant experience, preferably with Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Strong programming skills in Python with deep understanding of OOP, design patterns, and clean architecture; working knowledge of Java also applicable with Python familiarity.

Hands-on experience with RDBMS and SQL (e.g., DB2, PostgreSQL, Sybase), Linux/UNIX environments, and practical experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams, with demonstrated use of TDD and automated testing in enterprise system development; exposure to financial services data domains is required.

Experienced in designing, developing, and operating enterprise-level data platforms in financial services, especially with accounting/finance-related data.

Technical leader who sets high technical standards through hands-on contribution, quality reviews, and architecture decisions while promoting reliability and continuous improvement.

Comfortable working with modern DevOps tooling, big data ecosystems, cloud platforms, and automation scripting within Agile software development practices.
