Own design, development, and optimization of LTE Layer 2 components (MAC, RLC, PDCP) ensuring real-time performance and standards compliance.
Develop and optimize uplink/downlink scheduling, HARQ process, power control, and interface handling between layers L2-L1 and L2-L3 in LTE eNodeB.
Debug L2 protocol issues independently using tools like PCAP, L2 traces, scheduler logs; prepare design documents (LLD, HLD, interface specs) and maintain high unit test coverage.
Minimum 8 years of experience in LTE Layer 2 protocol stack development for 4G LTE eNodeB.
Proficient in C/C++ programming with strong Linux-based development experience involving IPC and multithreading.
Educational requirement: B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or equivalent.
Experience with LTE standards (3GPP Release 8–17) and debugging tools such as gdb, valgrind, Wireshark, and QXDM.
Deep technical expertise in LTE Layer 2 protocols and hands-on coding translating 3GPP LTE specs directly into production-level code.
Experienced in end-to-end ownership of complex telecom features including performance optimization and scheduling algorithms.
Capable of independently debugging and mentoring juniors with experience preparing technical design documents and operating in a Linux development environment.
