Own end-to-end SQL Server database administration including installation of service packs, performance tuning, backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and security setup.
Manage and improve CI/CD processes with a focus on reliable, frequent production releases using Azure DevOps and container-based infrastructure-as-code technologies.
Provide real-time problem resolution and production support, including troubleshooting and optimizing database performance and supporting database migrations and upgrades.
6+ years of Azure Cloud DevOps experience.
Strong experience with MS SQL Server versions 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2022 including T-SQL programming, performance tuning, and security implementations (TDE, masking).
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience in database backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and high availability solutions like Always ON, log shipping, mirroring, and replication.
Demonstrated expertise in database administration coupled with solid Azure DevOps skills including CI/CD pipeline management and automation with PowerShell.
Experience working in agile environments using Scrum and adaptive software development, with strong analytical and communication skills.
Familiarity with financial industry environments and practices is preferred but not mandatory.
