Define and drive test strategies and automation frameworks for Catalyst 9000 enterprise switching platforms covering functional, performance, security, and interoperability domains.
Lead end-to-end validation of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, security, and platform software features including regression, integration, and upgrade testing.
Develop CI/CD validation pipelines and perform root cause analysis using protocol debugging and packet analysis tools to ensure product quality and release readiness.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, IT, or related field.
Minimum 1 year experience in Software QA, System Validation, or Network Testing, with strong experience testing enterprise switching and networking products.
Hands-on expertise with Layer 2 Switching (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel), Layer 3 Routing (IPv4/IPv6, OSPF, BGP), network security features (802.1X, MACsec, Port Security), and automation using Python.
Experience with REST APIs, NETCONF/RESTCONF, automation frameworks (PyTest, Robot), Linux fundamentals, virtualization/container technologies (Docker, VMware), and network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
Experienced in validating complex enterprise networking hardware and software products, especially Catalyst switching platforms or equivalent.
Skilled in designing scalable automation solutions and integrating AI-assisted tools to increase test coverage and engineering productivity.
Proficient at collaborating with cross-functional teams to define validation plans, perform deep troubleshooting, and improve quality metrics in fast-paced CI/CD environments.
