Design and implement backend services in Python/Node.js supporting multi-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop workflows, and exception routing for finance processes.
Architect and manage workflow state including persistence, checkpointing, idempotent retries, and resume using AWS Step Functions or equivalent.
Build event-driven architecture and APIs with AWS services (SQS, SNS, EventBridge) ensuring observability, security, and integration with AI/LLM backend workflows.
5+ years backend engineering experience with Python and/or Node.js.
Proven experience deploying microservices using AWS technologies: Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, and RDS/Aurora.
Strong knowledge of event-driven, asynchronous distributed systems and RESTful API design.
Experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB), Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation), and CI/CD pipelines with container deployments (Docker, ECS).
Experienced in building complex long-running, stateful financial workflows and orchestrations using AWS Step Functions or alternatives (Airflow, Temporal).
Familiarity with multi-tenancy design patterns and secure, compliant backend architectures in financial or shared services domains.
Able to collaborate on integrating LLM/AI models into backend workflows with event-driven, observable, and secure design focus.
