Lead design, development, testing, and debugging of medium to large software enhancements primarily using Java and related technologies in a Front Office Trading environment.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to translate business requirements into sustainable software solutions, and contribute to product architecture design.
Provide engineering troubleshooting support to internal teams and mentor junior engineers as needed.
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent (MS preferred).
8+ years professional experience in core and enterprise Java technologies including concurrency, multithreading, JDBC, and web services.
2+ years cloud native application development experience, preferably on Microsoft Azure, with skills in SpringBoot, Microservices, Kafka, and cloud databases.
Experience working on highly transactional, concurrent, event-driven systems (6+ years); Financial Trading systems experience is a strong plus.
Experienced in developing scalable, highly transactional software with deep expertise in enterprise Java and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
Comfortable working independently on medium to large projects with minimal supervision, contributing to complex designs and Agile development processes.
Familiar with front office trading system domain or financial services software, and capable of providing effective troubleshooting and code review guidance.
