Lead and manage the Mayors Challenge project implementation in Visakhapatnam, including strategic planning, coordination with city leadership, and oversight of service providers and project staff.
Develop V-PULL’s 10-year vision, monitoring and evaluation framework, and funding strategy while ensuring alignment with city and state government priorities and sustainability.
Act as the primary liaison and spokesperson for V-PULL with community stakeholders, city and state government officials, and external partners, including overseeing partner coordination and promoting knowledge sharing globally.
Advanced university degree (master’s or equivalent) in Public Policy, Public Administration, Development Studies, Urban Planning, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or related field; bachelor’s degree with 7 years' relevant experience also considered.
Minimum 5 years relevant professional experience with master’s degree (7 years with bachelor’s), including at least 2 years in environment, WASH, or climate resilience.
Demonstrated experience working with local or regional governments in India and proven project management experience involving coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Fluency in English and Hindi; knowledge of Telugu is an advantage.
Experienced in managing projects that involve multi-stakeholder coordination with government entities and community groups, preferably in urban or environmental development contexts.
Familiarity with the Urban Living Lab model, climate resilience initiatives, and local governance structures in Andhra Pradesh, especially with Municipal Administration and Urban Development departments.
Demonstrated ability to engage with senior city/state leadership and external partners to design sustainable, long-term development strategies and impact measurement frameworks.
