Administer and secure z/OS UNIX System Services (USS) environments, including identity and access management, POSIX permissions, and privileged access controls.
Collaborate with security architects, system programmers, middleware teams, and audit stakeholders to ensure USS platform security and compliance.
Develop and maintain USS security standards, procedures, monitor security events, support incidents and investigations.
Bachelor’s degree.
10+ years of experience with mainframe and z/OS UNIX System Services; at least 6 years relevant experience generally expected.
Strong hands-on experience securing USS environments and administering RACF or equivalent ESM for USS.
Proven understanding of USS components: UIDs, GIDs, OMVS segments, POSIX permissions; experience with UNIXPRIV and FACILITY classes, STARTED task identities, zFS/HFS file systems, and USS audit logging.
Experienced in enforcing least-privilege and separation-of-duties principles in mainframe USS environments.
Proficient in operational security controls and compliance collaboration within a large enterprise technology environment.
Has familiarity with PKI, digital certificates, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, SSH, OpenSSL, and possibly mainframe networking and middleware security (e.g., MQ).
