Own and improve the entire GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) release pipeline from OS and container builds through package generation, certification, validation, and artifact distribution to customers worldwide.
Identify and resolve release pipeline issues to increase reliability, accelerate issue triage, and ensure secure, high-quality deliveries across multiple cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to optimize release readiness, operational support, and automation of build and certification workflows.
4+ years of Software Engineering experience with production software using one or more of these languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python.
Experience building and operating CI/CD or release pipelines for complex distributed systems.
Experience with Linux-based systems, containers, software packaging, and troubleshooting multi-layer build/test/release failures.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 2+ years software engineering experience as specified.
Demonstrated expertise in release engineering or enterprise/on-premise software appliance delivery.
Strong proficiency with scripting (Bash, Python) and general purpose programming languages (Go, Ruby) for at least 3-4 years.
Experience handling integration test environments at scale, package certification or compliance, and artifact publication in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
