Manage end-to-end SQL Server database lifecycle including planning, installation, configuration, security, optimization, monitoring, disaster recovery, and performance tuning across on-premises and Azure environments.
Architect and implement high-availability SQL Server solutions including Azure PaaS deployments and ensure maximum uptime, scalability, and security.
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and automate DBA processes using T-SQL and PowerShell; mentor junior DBAs to improve team capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience managing enterprise SQL Server databases (2016 or 2017 preferred).
Minimum 2 years of experience designing and deploying Azure SQL Database PaaS solutions.
Experience planning and implementing disaster recovery strategies for MS SQL databases; strong T-SQL skills required.
Experienced in both on-premises and Microsoft Azure SQL Server environments with demonstrated expertise in high-availability and disaster recovery implementation.
Strong T-SQL developer with the ability to optimize complex queries and automate DBA tasks using scripting (PowerShell preferred).
Able to lead database architecture and collaborate cross-functionally, providing mentorship and driving team process improvements.
